Straight, No Chaser: E.dging G.od O.ut

Earlier this evening, I wrote a note about accountability. About patterns. About that moment when you realize the same situations don’t keep showing up by accident—and that at some point, you have to ask yourself what your role has been in allowing them to continue. I didn’t think much of the note beyond that. But later, when I sat down for my nightly prayers, Spirit was very clear: turn the camera on and record this for them. So I did. What came through wasn’t soft. It wasn’t vague. And it wasn’t about blaming anyone else. The message was about ego—specifically how unchecked ego quietly Edges God Out of the conversation. Not in a dramatic way, but in the everyday ways: stubbornness, defensiveness, sharp words, avoidance, and the refusal to look honestly at ourselves.
The collective message was simple but uncomfortable: when we keep encountering the same conflicts, the same blocks, the same frustrations, it’s time to stop only looking outward. Ego can convince us that everything is happening to us. Spirit asks us to consider how we might also be participating. That doesn’t mean accepting disrespect. It doesn’t mean taking on blame that isn’t yours. But it does mean telling the truth about where you still have agency. Because believing everything is always someone else’s fault is one of the most disempowering stories we can tell ourselves. Compassion came through as the first instruction—not compassion without boundaries, but compassion that slows the reaction long enough to actually see clearly. Wisdom over impulse. Discernment over domination. Listening before speaking. What became clear in the transmission is that ego doesn’t just affect relationships—it blocks access. Access to clarity. Access to guidance. Access to opportunities that require humility, accountability, and alignment to be sustained. When ego is loud, God intelligence gets drowned out. So this message isn’t a call-out as much as it’s a course correction. If you’ve been feeling stuck in repeating patterns, this is an invitation to get quiet. To pray. To ask Spirit to show you where ego has been running the show—and where God needs to be back in the lead. Because no one can block your good. But you can delay it, distort it, or fumble it…by Edging God Out. Straight. No chaser. |
